| So it has been pretty dead on here lately, and this thread will either liven things up or make me want to leave forever. Given that is winter I predict this thread will either get right out of hand or go no where fast. (as many of my threads do)
So here is the situation, my winter car got TL'd and I will need to buy a second car. Many of you who know me probably already have a good idea of what I actually want. Although, I may be open to suggestions. The catch here is the car needs to be under $5000, I am getting married and can't afford a crazy car, plus I want to keep traveling to car events.

| How do you feel about minivans? Something like a Mazda MPV has little resale value, so it forces the owners to basically give them away. Way under 5g ought to buy a 170,000km MPV that will easily go that much KM again with little problems. Personally I love minivans, they have so much room for moving shit around and make great winter beaters, and road trip vehicles. Or something like an Altima, another car I see go cheap all the time. http://swiftcurrent.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-2002-Nissan-W0QQAdIdZ336025830 | |

| I have always liked A4's. WellI shouldn't say always but for a while I really wanted one.
I should mention, the car doesn't have to be built for winter it just has to be able to handle them.

| I see that is a good point, Devo and Jason can't see me driving a Subaru. I don't blame them... hahahah
I was thinking of Toyota probably a JDM sedan.

I was thinking of Toyota probably a JDM sedan. Good idea. Since you are already used to RHD, and some of those sedans coming over are just a steal of a deal. I was going to say Accord or Camry, but then I started looking at them, holy shit do they hold their value. But they are so well put together, basic maintenance and follow the service schedule for timing belts etc. and they just keep on going. A4's aren't that bad, and they are actually pretty decent to work on. I'd way rather work on the engine in those cars then the driverain. Any time I've had to do suspension/drivetrain work to an Audi, it's a swear fest. Hell I just notice my Allroad is seeping at the rear diff, and I'm just dreading it taking it apart.

| These are all interesting ideas. I was also thinking of an Aristo or a Celsior. I can't really make my mind up between the two. A second gen Aristo would have been my first choice, but they are not legal until next Fall. I was looking at a first gen aristo but aftermarket support is scarce, unless I want to pay a lot. The Celsior has a few more options that I could budget for. So right now that is where my head is at. | |

| buy a boring car for point a to b, sell the S chassis while you can get your money out of it, then buy something you actually want to put money into. | |

| I don't think I will be selling my S chassis, it isn't worth it at this point. They are cheap to own and you can easily change them up.
I had a boring car to get from point A to point B. I want something that I can take pride in and that I like. I think I have pretty much made up my mind.

Jon don't you have like two Skylines and a daily on top of that? Just so we are clear. You are telling me to be practical and you have Skyline for drifting, an a Skyline for hard parking. We should start a thread where I try to convince you to sell both your Skylines and buy a Toyota because it is where you belong!

Maybe Ryan should just sell his car and buy a boring, pansy ass Juke.
